Open Panel at EuARe2026
Call for Papers
30.06 – 03.07.2026
We are looking forward to welcoming you to the EuARe2026 (title: Religions and (in)equalities) in Rome. Open Panel . Under the title Religion and Work-Related Migration: Religious Actors and Critical Religious Perspectives we discuss submitted papers from our various subprojects as well as other scientists.
From subproject 1, Prof. Christof Mandry and Moritz Broghammer will investigate the question of whether and how the idea of the global common good can provide normative orientation for the international regulation of the recruitment of health professionals. Lisa Neubauer (subproject 2), on the other hand, addresses the differences in recruitment practice between Christian and non-religious actors in Germany and the extent to which ethical implications can be derived from this.
Finally, subproject 3 in the person of Leonie Uliczka and Prof. Jonas Hagedorn discusses, analogous to the Mexican context, which arguments are put forward for the (de-)legitimization of the recruitment of health professionals by church and non-religious actors and how these can be ethically evaluated against the background of moral and political positions of the tradition of Catholic social teaching.
The Call for Papers is open until March 13, 2026. Interested applicants can submit their paper on the EuARe portal. We are looking forward to exciting submissions and stimulating discussions! According to the conference language, we can only accept papers written in English. Further information can be found under the links listed:
